CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION
Harbor High Supports Pathways to College and Career.
CTE stands for Career Technical Education
These classes help students become college and careeor ready. Classes are taught by instructors with industry experience who teach students the skills necessary for success in both college and the workplace.
Career Technical Education (CTE) courses combine academic rigor with a fun, hands-on way of learning by doing. Our courses give students an opportunity to explore potential careers with real world experience creating industry specific projects and portfolios of their work. Several CTE courses fulfill a-g UC/CSU requirements and/or articulate with Cabrillo College.
CTE instructors collaborate with members of the business community to ensure their curriculum is relevant and up to date with today's industry. Students create a cover letter / resume and meet members of the local business community. Connecting with local industry professionals helps prepare students for life beyond high school.
